Why soccer isn't a popular sport in the US like in the rest of the world?

Because it is non-stop, it is not very commercial friendly for TV in the USA. Other countries have state sponsored TV and don't care about income from commercials because they don't exist. In order to make soccer commercially viable in the USA, you would have to change the rules and slow down the game, thus destroying the nature of the game.

    Agree.

Before the americans see the light and recognise the most popular team sport in the world, we will, I think, see Scotland winning "The Ashes" down under, doodlesacks and all.

My best guess is we got football, baseball, basketball,hockey..perhaps we got enough or maybe it just the usa needs to catch up with the rest of the world.
