Reincarnation best describes the concept where the soul or spirit, after the death of the body, is believed to return in a new human body, animal or plant. This belief is central in the Hindu religion. With each birth the soul progresses towards the ultimate goal to become one with the divine, thus preventing anymore rebirth for that soul.
Buddhists also believe in reincarnation.
