    One cubic yard of concrete would fill a container that is 1 yard by 1 yard by 1 yard, or 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet, or 27 cubic feet.

    Depends on how thick you want it, should be a least 4" or more at the edges. Call the concrete company and ask, they have formulas to give you enough and little left. Nice idea to have a spot for what's left, your paying for it.........

    Usually a yard of concrete is only 9 cubit feet, or one square yard by a foot thick, and not 27 cubit feet. Anyhow to ans. your question doesn't tell us how deep is your area that you need.

    A yard of concrete by "yard" definition is 27 cubic ft.
    Yes, Square yard is 9 Sq Ft., X 12" is 9 Cubic Ft.

    I was toll by a concrete company that a yard of cement is only a square yard and not a cubit yard.
