Here is a downloadable page ,needs Adobe to run, that discusses the practices of rendering various old stones, just click on this link here:http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cts=1331665684028&ved=0CC0QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bath-preservation-trust.org.uk%2Findex.php%3Fs%3Dfile_download%26id%3D133&ei=GJZfT9yxAcfXiALAx8CuBA&usg=AFQjCNESXGwVwvZwPRIeg0eJjCqNmMykTQ&sig2=1p0F4QIoeSpx5u6kgQ2RKw

My mistake ROMOS thanx for catching that, copied the wrong damn code first time round...Skimmed thru and it appears to dissuade the practice in favor of spending the money to do a proper stone masonary repair.Although I do suppose the better answer may have been a simple"no".
