I'm looking for the same reason. My dad got a letter from them. General rule of thumb which has been reported on the news multiple times is that if they ask you for money, you didn't win anything. It's a scam. I'm just trying to find proof that this is a scam before my dad sends them money. I already told him not to do it, but I can't exactly stop him if I don't find a rip off report.
Yeah, I've always heard that if you really won something, they give it to you; they don't ask you for any money.
I just found the info I was looking for.... It is definitely a SCAM, as I suspected all along. Now my dad is not going to send them money, Thank Goodness, as he is on a fixed income and cannot afford to be ripped off. Another rule of thumb as reported on the news is that you cannot win a lottery you never entered.
