      Same as north of the Equator; location has nothing to do with flow direction..

        The Coriolis effect means that fluids move clockwise in the Northern hemisphere and anticlockwise in the Southern. Water flowing down a plughole tends to be different in N or S hemispheres, also tornados.

          Nom, i tried that when i went to the States, with water going the plug hole as you put it and yes it is opposite flow, i haven't taken much notice with Hurricanes and Cyclones, theoretically they could be opposite wind direction. -- i just had a look on google-- hurricans conter clockwise ---- cyclones clockwise which maybe the same as water.

                Water finds it's own level it can flow in any direction, according to the terrain, whether it's north or southern hemisphere.

                    There is a kid on the equator in Equador.He will give you a demonstration for a dollar.


                    He pours water into a funnel North of the equator & it flows down clockwise.Then he walks across the equator & it flows counter clockwise.
