    what direction does the sun rise?

    Rises in East, and sets in West.

    In usual terms Dollybird is correct but also wrong.


    The sun does not "rise" it is stationary in our solar system and as everybody knows, well I hope they do. it is the earths turning that gives the "sunrise" impression.
