Can you spell to save your wife?

A guy called 911 & asked them to send an ambulance because his wife had been seriously mauled by a warthog.

The 911 operator asked for the addres.

The guy says,19 Eucalyptus Drive.

The operator asked him to spell it,

The guy replies (after a brief silence),"I tell ya what,I'm just gunna drag her over to Oak street,you can pick her up there".

True story. (Reportedly).

Must have been calling on a cell phone! It might be funny now but there have been many idiot 911 operators that have cost a life! Not so funny then!!

In an emergency situation people are usually scared, pumped full of adrenaline, and scattered...if he couldnt focus to spell it the 911 responder could have looked it up or traced the call.

I hope Oak street wasn't far- LOL

My wife can spell ok its her way of contacting the ambulance service About two years ago I had a "Heart Attack She "WROTE for an Ambulance!!mind you it could have been worse she could have E-Mailed Colleen to do it for "Her!!.
