        there will always be local girls drawn to comparitively better servicemen stationed away from home,the rest is as they say ..history

          I once lived near a US airbase (Lakenheath) and there is no doubt that local girls were very attracted to American servicemen, to the detriment of local lads. My sister fostered a child of one of these unions and she (the child) was one of three born from Anglo/ American intercourse.
