If you still have the older browser which has the bookmarks on it, open that and also open Firefox. You could open each site in the old browser and using the copy & paste option, transfer the web address from the old to Firefox. Tedious but easier than individually typing each address, and more accurate.

Oh, wait, I misread your question. You "upgraded" Firefox. Hmmm, shouldn't have lost the bookmarks.
Try going to File and check to make sure bookmarks has a check mark next to it. It might just be hidden.
