He was considered a villain by many people because of his treatementto Native Americans. He is responsible for the( Trail of Tears) , in which he removed Native Americans from their home land and put them in reservations. Also during Civil War. he was on the South side and many see that as being a traitor to America. he is villain because he sent all Indians East.
