          In 2011, the U.S. imported approximately $400 billion from China and exported just over 100 billion for a net trade deficit of just under $ 300 billion.


          Total 2011 U.S. imports were 2.7 trillion versus 2.1 trillion worth of exports, for a net annual deficit of just under 600 billion dollars.


          So, the answer to your question is:  Approximately 15%.
