      I do not know the answer but I wanted to say that if you have the owners manual, the recommended oil will be listed in it.

        Ten people will give you ten different answers. Here's another one. I haven't used any other oil than 15-40 in every vehicle I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot. From Corvettes to V-W beetles. It's a high detergent oil blended for diesel engines. It removes sludge from the internal components and will keep a high mileage motor quiet. The one drawback is this, it is a heavy viscosity oil and if you live where temperatures drop to below zero regularly you will have difficulty turning the engine over.
