Imagine you have just arrived  some where and your being there on its own is a great comfort to some one,  what more could they ask of you.

no, I still do not understand it!  It sounds like"what are you complaining about, you got at least one christmas gift, there are others who don't get a thing for christmas!!!  That is what first hit me when I first read it...Sorry, but that is the impression I've been left with.
