      Triangular pyramids have 4 faces.


      Draw a triangle and this forms face one, the base.
      Next you need 3 triangles, each sharing one edge with the base and an edge with each neighbour and coming to a point at the top. This makes 3 more upright triangles, giving 4 triangular faces in total.
