The word's oldest man is probably 114 year old Jiroemon Kimura, a Japanese born 19 April 1897.

Japan holds its elderly in very high esteem and has a higher proportion of elderly than any other country, they have 48,000 people over 100. They look after their elderly very well, that is something that we Europeans do very badly.
