    My son is an apprentice who has to travel  from Dublin to Portlaoise, he has only a provisional driving licence and has never driven outside of Dublin. Which is the best route for him and how long is the trip please?

      The best idea is to get a road map, so as he will have good idea of how many towns, he will by pass on motor way. and distance. I dont know how long it would take , maybe two hours and half, Good luck.
