    why can the senate majority leader stop legistation from a vote

    Yes!   The Senate Majority leader has yet to bring to the floor of the Senate, ANY of the dozen or so Bills from the House, that have been sent to the Senate in an effort to cut spending or to create more American Jobs over the past year.


    He prefers to help Obama get re-elected by claiming it is the Republicans who are holding the Congress hostage, when in fact it is is the Democrat party.


    The President and the Senate has yet to propose a budget for the 2012 fiscal year that began back on October 1, 2011 as required by the Constitution.
