Not an easy one to answer, you have to look at what skills you have and utilise them do you know any thing about electroniicsor things like that, that you can do sitting down, i  cannot think of any thing else to tell you other than study for a skill,

And a radio dispatcher or a answering service for after hour calls for tradesmen.  If you are good on computer, a medical transcriber is also good for someone at home.  Good luck. 

How about a truck broker? Your on the phone trying to find loads for empty over the road  trucks so that they can get going again.
