It's easy to look at our seemingly insurmountable problems and feel as if we are less than we should be, but this is normal especially in times such as now. The world is more complex than when the founding fathers lived and there are hundreds of millions more people. Communication is instant and technology is progressing at a geometric rate. The world is lived globably and will never operate in any other way. If you look back at history you will see that these feelings are normal for any age that has passed. There are always problems that seem as if annilation is right around the corner. Do you think that our fathers and grandfathers didn't feel this way at the beginning of WWII or our ancestors prior to the Civil War? What about the great depression? Kennedy's assination? And there are a myriad of other historical calamities that seemed world ending at the time. All we can do is keep plugging on.
