      They mean the same. Not guilty means you are innocent of the crime or there is not enough evidence to prove you guilty. You are then exonerated meaning the court finds you innocent of the charges.

        I sure didn’t know that
        I thought “guilty” meant that you did the crime.
        I thought “innocent “spelled inesant” meant you did not do the crime.
        I think many people are like me in not knowing “court house speak”
        We’ll see.
