    how can i go back to my windows live setting that I had before?

      Log out of his e-mail than log into your own.  The log in page is the same for everyone. You just impute your own information.

        Clear your friend's name from the sign in and type in yours along with your password or call your friend and ask for his password and then sign out deleting his name/password, etc.
