I have used it many times.  It seems that I don't have too much luck unless I can remember nearly the exact wording of the question; often the main words don't generate the question for me.

It has never occurred to me to use it, I wouldn't know how.What is it for, Colleen?

It works on key words. You can search old questions by typing them into the bar. Sometimes just the main words of the topic title will work, like "sky blue" and you should find all the questions asking why the sky is blue.

Do you mean the search bar on this site? I've hunted up a couple old questions on it.

Sometimes when I'm considering asking a question, to make sure there isn't already a similar one. Also when I'm looking for an old question.

Yes,  on occasions I use it.  Try this, in the search bar type >>weight of a european<< and press enter. No answers or comments please.

You could Google it and it would take you direct to the appropriate page.

In the Google search field type : akaqa colleen "are you nuts"    and press enter.

Yes and sometimes it works for me but sometimes not.
