Example:   I have judged my son's girlfriend as not being a suitable partner for him. This affects my outlook because there isn't a darned thing either of them can say or do which will make me think otherwise.
Example:  There is a member of a group in which I participate that I have judged to be thoughtless and rather stupid.  It affects my outlook because I don't ever take the person's contributions to the group as being worthwhile.

YOU are thoughtful and bright. No one should think it is THIS group, anyway!

    gee,thanks,

How can anyone rear children without judgement?  We are constantly evaluating their actions to determine if a corrective action is needed.  Also, the consequences must be dealt appropriate to the severity of their infraction.  So we indeed must use a skill of proper judgement.  This follows from toddler, to they are out of your care, as late teenagers.

bustieone - Would you not call this guidance rather than judgement. Judgement can engender lasting guilt in a young person which can be detrimental. Of course it is necessary to understand and feel wrong doing but this can be done without instilling a feeling of being judged as this can damage.

Judgement should only be used in judicial matters - Before we judge others we must be absolutely sure and clear about the facts and circumstances before doing so, otherwise judgement is flawed. However, better  if possble, not to judge at all on a personal level a very sensitive opinion here if called for but not to make the person feel judged - on a general level regarding Government Policies - we do tend to judge according to public opinion or personal circumstance. With regard to affecting our outlook of course it will do, as we all see things differently and may be upset or feel the judgement was incorrect - but better to leave it to the judiciary although the law is quite often an ass. So very upsetting for those that feel there has been a misjudgement and quite often few people will support this outcome.

majudgement affect ur outlook by showing what kind of person you are making a judgement based on wrong information will really affect ur outlook negatively, because u myt end up hurting people.

actually our outlook affects our judgement.  what we think and what we believe turns out to be what we do.  first things are in our brains and most times gets into our subconscious. then without even thinking, we act quickly, without thought, to stimuli and situations.  we make judgements based on what's in our brain (that's conditioning from your upbringing and environment). we can help ourselves by putting good things in our brains.  if we put mostly bad things in our brains we make bad decisions. example, gangster rap or KKK ideology or race hating ideology. people do what they think.  So think good and put successful ideology in your brain, by reading those kinds of books and listening to positive thought provoking music, & close your ears to people that hate other races.

    Mindset.
