      A Caveat is a legal document that does not allow you to dispose  of property, is often taken out over property in dispute between two parties.


      For example a husband or wife may take a Caveat on the matrimonial home after a marriage break up. This stops the other party from selling the house and keeping the proceeds of the sale.
