    To remove the engine on a FWD vehicle like the Aerostar van, one must lower the complete front assemble.


     

    the ford aerostar is a "disposable" vehical.......unless you've a lot of money to put into it. Once you have a problem as you do, its not worth the time and money it will cost you.Sorry to say.

    I would suggest you have a mechanic look it over and find out what it will cost to repair and what it needs to be done to repair it.As i remember with my aerostar, the way they are built, its a pain just to change the sparkplugs, it also depends on where the leak is coming from,the condition of the rest of the vehical, if you think it would be worth puting the money into it.Mine leaked oil, too but i just kept adding oil by a quart a month. An honest mechanic will give you a free estemate.Good luck
