If your blood test shows high sugar of 190, but your urine strip test is normal, does that mean you don't have diabetes, or you do ?
I got a shock on Tues, 1-17-12......my Dr. told me my blood sugar was high the last 2 visits. That's never happened before. He said I'm " developing diabetes " ....and that if I don't get it down with diet and exercise, I'll have to go on medication. Anyway, when I got home and tested my urine for sugar at least 4 X for two days, it's always 0 ......normal.

If your blood sugar is 190 immediately after a meal that is no big deal, but if it is that high, say 3 hours after a meal then you are probably diabetic or at least pre-diabetic. So follow your Dr's suggestions. You can post on www.healthboards.com to contact other sufferers.
