        I have read somewhere that the conversion is 10 inches of snow equals 1 inch of rain, I agree with mom above, however, not all snow is the same.

          Thats an impossible question because depending on the snow... The west coast here, the snow is very wet and heavy therefor holding much more water than the colder dryer climate with dryer wispy snow.
