Because Skype requires an abundance of energy and operating resources from your system. Though at 64 bits, Skype should not be draining your system at all. Do you do proper maintenance on your computer? Defrag? Delete browsing history? Delete cookies? Run a computer cleaner of any kind? Get this windows safety scanner and check for issues in your system.
