    why is the gov not useing old water mills for electisity and lock gates

    Oh no, another government agency. In Holland they use incoming waves to generate electricity. We're just to stupid to see the potential here. We've got thousands of miles of shoreline.

    One reason wold be that the government in not in the business of generating electricity, WBMG


    There are several utility companies the use hydro power however.


    Niagara Power, using Niagara falls for one.
