You need to talk to the power company and see if they will work out a payment schedule with you. In Maine, it is against the law for the power company to cut off power during the winter months. They usually work out a payment arrangement and get their money during the summer. Most power companies realize you are not going to get out of paying them at some point, as we all use electricity and have a need for it.
