    why am i having leg cramps nightly

    each night i have leg cramps in strange places like my inner thighs and even ankles

    could be potassium... restless leg syndrome... take to your dr.

    Best see your doc, I take quinine tabs for mine, helps a lot, yours could be different though.

    Try Magnesium. Supposed to be really helpful.

    Go to your doctor for medical advice but a lay person's experience may help as long as it is not medicine. Try DRINKING TONIC WATER!

    Vitamin supplements have helped me.  The cramp and twitch would keep me awake which made for unpleasant days.  Also I had to add to the supplements a 1,000 unit vitamin E capsule, that made all the symptoms go away.
