Just ask her out the worst that can happen is she can say no but hopefully she will not.

I'd really like to get to know you better.  Can I take you out for coffee/ drinks so we can talk/ have some time alone/ hang out and talk....the / are dif. options.  Stay within your style and by all means be yourself!  If you do get the chance to go out stay away from the Big 3 topics 1. religion 2. polotics 3.money...unless you already know you and she have similar views (last thing you want on a first date is a debte/argument).  If you run out of things to say ask her if she dreams of traveling somewhere, if she likes animals, what else does she dream of? and answer her questions truthfully but do not get defensive.  Simply tell her you'd like to chane the subject.  Good Luck!
