To my taste a tourbillon is the perfect "non-complication complication" to pair with an openworked link watch. While the skeletonized perpetual link calendars both from Vacheron and Audemars Piguet seem to get most of the attention link understandable due to the impressive nature of a perpetual calendar and the complexity of the dial their very nature obscures the ability to fully appreciate the level of finishing done to make a watch like this special.
