          Blood sugar too high for way too long, my brother reached it several times in his life. Me? I keep a check on my own blood sugar.........

            I would recommend you research it via the site Colleen has offered as well as other health sites and resources.  
            One thing I DO know is that a person can DIE in a diabetic coma.....not the same as being in a coma from a head trauma.
