Don't worry, you will live through it.

I was fascinated by my dreams. I’d record them or wake up in the night a write them down. On the recorder my voice sounded real spooky. Sometimes I couldn’t read my handwriting. This went on for a couple of years. (You have to train yourself to do this)

Anyway, when I went to read them and see what it all meant ... I found out my dreams meant nothing. Just stuff. This may not be true of YOUR dreams.

I hope some other people chime in here.

I've always thought that dreams were just a method of keeping you asleep as sometimes they match outside noises, such as a telephone ringing.  (you're dreaming of an alarm but the phone is ringing).  I never saw any reason to get into psychological answers or analyze them.
