I liked Carter as president but he let it be known early on that he had no interest in a second term. He was and is very intelligent and I admire what he has accomplished. Obama is likely the best public speaker I have heard in quite some time. He is intelligent in office. I like the fact that he looks through old changes in the course of our progress, examines their merits and failings and has the nerve to bring historically bad decisions to an abrupt end. Our National Security policy since the 1950s has been to remain engaged in little wars to avoid larger was such as WW1 & 2. Ending that mint the foreign war leaders could be killed off promptly and were removed from that position. I look forward to other meaningful changes that correct past errors like that, that are still ongoing. We have to learn from our mistakes and hopefully the republican party will survive and correct their errors also…brinksmanship and oath breaking to the American people is simply un-American.

I think that Obama, is doing alright, not great though, you all need to remember that everything he tries to pass, it has to go thru congress first, their the ones mainly responsible for our louzy economy.
Of course the government would rather spend billions space programs & on a war that has lasted 9.5 years longer than Bush claimed that it would.
Does anyone recall when he got on that huge ship, sorry i have forgotten the name of that ship.
But he rose up & said, the war will be over before 6 months has passed, or something to that affect.
So when is the big heads in Washington gonna do something about all of the millions of jobless people, this country is in the worst mess that i have even been thru--> what about you?
