    when did automobiles first start using 'floor-mats'...?

    After the Flintstones were axed.

    I think the first one was an old potato sack however the oldest one I could find was for 1915 Model T and the first Model T was built in 1908.

    I do not which manufacturer had them first, but I do know the Dusenberg's came with carpeting and carpeted "floor mats" back in the twenties when most cars had rubber mats
