Why would you use antibiotics to remove ear wax? Maybe using antibiotics for everything is not a good idea. This contributes to organisms becoming immune to antibiotics, thus they become less effective when it is an appropriate time to use them. Playing doctor can be a can of worms. Using alternate methods, mineral oils, alcohol, etc. would be more successful. Keep the ears trimmed of excessive hair also helps, as the ears dry out better, and are less apt to host mites. Do not clean the ears too often, however, as they are like ours in that they should have some wax in them, it helps prevent materials from entering the canal, it is sticky, and is meant to trap debris.
