    How do I attach a file in the "new" gmail?

    I tried to click on "attach a file" using the compose portion of the new gmail.  (I HATE THE NEW GMAIL, by the way).  When I click on attach a file, nothing happens.  How do I attach a file?

      From Googles help site:


      Go to Settings - General - Attachments and change it to Basic. If it still does not work, change to Rich Text mode.
