To me, lust would be just physical but desire is both mental and physical (including feelings).

i agree with Colleen. Lust is physical.. desire has a longing that plays in.

Scophillie It is what thoughts are in the head which determines this.They can even be one and the same. Depends on who is looking.

desire, you are wishin and hopin.  lust, it probably physical by then and you may be highly motivated to make that desire come true.

Desire is a wish or longing, but lust is unrestrained and overwhelming. Lust isn't just sexual because you can have a lust for life or a lust for knowledge. Darren pretty much has hit it.
