    3x - 4y = 12

Find a number for (x) that would be divisible by 4y                        X      Y

    3(4)-4y=12 > 12-4y=12 > -12 on both sides > 4y=0 > y=0             4      0  > (4, 0)

    3(0)-4y=12 > 0-4y=12 > -0 on both sides > 4y=12 > y=3               0      3  > (0, 3)

    3(-4)-4y=12 > -12-4y=12 > +12 on both sides >4y=24 > y=6       -4      6  > (-4, 6)

Now graph your coordinates: (4,0), (0,3), (-4,6) and draw the line connecting the points.
