I couldnt find any clasess that microsoft offers online for certification. I appears that you will need to be enrolled in a microsoft aproved School/Program in order to prepare for the certification test. Enrollment in many of these schools will allow you to study online. Start here http://www.braintrack.com/degree-programs-and-certifications/articles/microsoft-web-certification Microsoft does have info on the certification for students here. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/student-career/en/us/career-offer.aspx
I did a search on your question at careerfinders.com and salaries will vary upon experience. However what I seen did show salaries from 55k and up.
