How is your dad ruining your life? Is he beating you? Is he being sexual with you? Is he mentally attacking you, calling you bad names and making you afraid? If he is doing any of these things, call the police. If he is doing none of these things then he is not ruining your life. Ruining your fun maybe when you think you should be able to do anything you want but he is not ruining your life. He may actually be saving it depending on what it is that he is not letting you do.

If your dad is doing any of the things that Colleen mentioned, then, yes, you need professional help, and fast. But in truth, the only person who can ruin your life is you. You have it within you to overcome all obstacles. Find a friend that you feel safe in confiding with. Sometimes a good friend is the best medicine.
