If you are asking if the water from your tap (faucet) is already treatedwhy do you need a filter to further treat it, Answer you don`t.
Our water in Australia is of the highest quality and the pretense that it is not is a ploy by the manufacturers and distributors of "after market" filters to sell their products.
This ploy includes showing alleged contaminents alleged to have come from "unfiltered" tap water.
No I do not nor have I ever had a financial interest in the mainstream water supply system, but I do have over 45 years experience in sales and marketing.
