Even among simpler timepieces, many watches and clocks feature link moon phases, including the longcase clock at our library at HSNY. Image 8 shows the dial of our clock, with the moon waxing and waning contentedly link across the top arc, in this photo nearly at full. If you want to build or repair a calendar watch or a clock link with a moon phase mechanism, we have books for that, too! One is pictured in image 9.

It link was just a month after SIHH when Lange gave us the second installment in this collection, and, I'll be honest, it wasn't one of the models I was expecting to see first. The Grand Lange 1 Moon link Phase is a fantastic watch, but it's one that doesn't get as much attention as some of the other classic pieces. It's a bit bigger at link 41mm across, and the moon phase display nested within the main dial adds a touch of whimsy to the mix.

Guilloche is the prominent decorative technique employed on the contrasting shapes of the dial – adding to the geometry and imparting a depth of texture and light play. Makes you want to run your fingers across the grooves of the dial, but I wouldn't recommend doing link that. link Luckily, there's a sapphire crystal to protect people like myself from wreaking absolute havoc when coming into contact with one of these $205,000 link watches.

To be completely honest this question gave me heartburn. link You can buy so many incredible pieces for 10000! How could I choose just one I started writing up a Blancpain a Zenith an Omega and a link Grand Seiko before I eventually settled on a watch I think is link even more special the one above the V38 from Torsti Laine an independent Finnish watchmaker based in Le Locle Switzerland.
