      Personal experience.....When most raw items are cooked, they become darker.

        Pumpkin varieties differ in color. I think canned ( pie pumpkin ) is a little darker than regular pumpkin.

          To be completely honest this question gave me heartburn. link You can buy so many incredible pieces for 10000!
