Nine to the power of three simply means; heighth, depth, width, which is often referred to a s being cubed, as that is a cubic measurement of something. To find the square root simply take a calculator and hit the key that looks like like a check mark with a long tail that slashes back. I can't tell you the inner workings of it, but that is how you can simply find it.
