That sounds more like a question for an electrician. Electricity has a lot more energy than most people realize, as we often take for granted how well we have developed ways to control it. If you create a system that has a definite weak point that isn't fused, it's a fire waiting to happen. If you can shell out the bucks for a wind turbine, don't get foolish on the importance of setting it up right.
