For Dietrich, the idea of a smaller and less serious dive watch was an appealing platform for the brand's link first foray link under the waves and the SD-1 uses the skin link diver archetype as a stage for many of the brand's unique styling elements.

But this article is not about that watch and it really isnt about one watch. Rather it's about link connections the through lines that track the passage of time through memory and experience. Some of the memories I plan link to invoke in this piece are sad but I carry them with me as reminders of someone I lost who was very important to me. That person was my grandfather.
